A Knowsley takeaway has been handed a new one-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

The Market Plaice, a takeaway at 7 Market Square, Kirkby Town Centre, Knowsley was given the score after assessment on June 14, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Knowsley's 107 takeaways with ratings, 55 (51%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
