A Liverpool restaurant has been handed a new two-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Canon hotel, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 87 Townsend Lane, Liverpool was given the score after assessment on March 30, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Liverpool's 959 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 597 (62%) have ratings of five and just three have zero ratings.
