Food hygiene ratings handed to two St Helens takeaways

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of St Helens’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of St Helens’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Green Leaf, at 61 Rectory Road, Ashton In Makerfield, St Helens Merseyside was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 13.

And The Village Chippy, at 6 Oxford Street, Newton Le Willows was also given a score of four on January 13.

It means that of St Helens's 166 takeaways with ratings, 49 (30%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
