A St Helens restaurant has been handed a new zero-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

66 American Steakhouse, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at Savoy Building, Unit 1 Bridge Street, St Helens was given the minimum score after assessment on October 1, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of St Helens's 209 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 128 (61%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
