A Wirral drinking establishment has been handed a new two-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

The Birch Tree, a pub, bar or nightclub at 17 Prenton Road West, Prenton, Wirral was given the score after assessment on April 7, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Wirral's 227 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 150 (66%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
