A Wirral takeaway has been handed a new two-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Tranmere Rovers Football Club, a takeaway at Solar Campus, 235 Leasowe Road, Leasowe, Wirral was given the score after assessment on March 4, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Wirral's 342 takeaways with ratings, 142 (42%) have ratings of five and just three have zero ratings.
