A Wirral takeaway has been handed a new one-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Hilbre Ice Cream Parlour, a takeaway at Dee Lane, West Kirby, Wirral was given the score after assessment on May 19, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Wirral's 351 takeaways with ratings, 145 (41%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
