Do I still have to record Covid test results during the summer holidays?

School pupils have undergone regular lateral flow testing during the Covid pandemic to help limit the spread of the virus.

Advice from the Department of Education is to continue with regular lateral flow tests in the holidays and register results online.

Parents have been assured reporting will not lead to more school closures, rather "to help councils and local health officials understand the community rates of infection better, enabling them to identify any possible outbreaks early and to take appropriate action in order to help to break chains of transmission".
