Christmas films 2021: Best new movies to watch on Netflix, Amazon, Sky & Disney - like 8-Bit Christmas

With Christmas just around the corner, nothing quite gets you into the festive spirit like Christmas movies.

While you can’t go wrong with sticking on a classic, like Elf, The Polar Express, The Grinch, Miracle on 34th Street, it’s good to branch out every now and again and try something new.

Here are some of the best brand new Christmas movies that have been released so far in 2021, and where to watch them.

A Boy Called Christmas

Nikolas, an ordinary young boy, sets out on a quest to the snow north in search of his father who had embarked on a mission to find the fabled village of the elves - Elfhelm.

Taking with him his reindeer Blitzen and loyal pet mouse, Nikolas will soon find his destiny in this magical Christmas tale.

8-Bit Christmas

Set in 1980s Chicago, 10-year-old Jake sets out with one mission in mind - to get his hands on the latest and greatest video game system for Christmas.

Starring Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother, A Series of Unfortunate Events), Steve Zahn (The White Lotus, Mad Dogs) and June Diane Raphael (Grace and Frankie, Big Mouth), this comedy Christmas movie is suitable for the whole family.

Single All The Way

In a bid to stop his judgemental family from talking about his perpetually single relationship status, Peter convinces best friend Nick to spend Christmas with his family - and pose as his boyfriend.

However, Peter’s plan goes awry when his mother sets him up on a blind date with her handsome trainer James.

Love Hard

When LA journalist Natalie decides to jump on a plane to surprise Tag, the guy she has been talking to over a dating app, for Christmas, she discovers that she’s actually been catfished by Tag’s childhood friend Josh, who is just as unlucky in love as she is.

Josh promises to set Natalie up with Tag for real - but only if she pretends to be his girlfriend for the holidays first.

Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star
