Could you make their dreams come true in a week we celebrated National Puppy Day?
The UK celebrated National Puppy Day this week but we believe dogs of all ages should be celebrated and loved all year round!
Dogs Trust recently reported that they received an average of 188 handover requests per day in February, equating to more than 5,000 people looking to give up their dogs last month.
The charity’s Merseyside branch currently has 54 dogs listed for adoption on their website, with a high likelihood that more and more animals will end up at the rescue centre.
Many of the dogs available for adoption are adorable puppies as well as lovely older dogs, so if you’re thinking about getting a new furry friend, why not consider visiting Dogs Trust’s rescue centre? They even offer puppy training classes and provide you with the first week’s worth of dog food.
Here are 16 of Dog Trust’s charming dogs and puppies that desperately want to join a loving family.

9. Max
Max is a sweet boy who, in true spaniel fashion, loves tennis balls! He enjoys training and would love for his new family to continue teaching him new things. Max will need to be the only pet in the home, and any children in the family will need to be over the age of 16. He is house trained and once settled in could be left for around 3-4 hours. 10. Ted
Ted is a Fox Wire Terrier, looking for a home where he is the only pet, but can live with children over the age of 8. He is house trained, but can get a little rowdy if he is left for too long so he will need somebody home as much as possible in order to keep the noise levels down and build leaving hours slowly.
11. Hiro
Hiro will need a home where he is the only pet and there are no children. He is house trained and can be left alone for about 4 hours without worry, once he's settled in. He is a little nervous of new people and will need a few visits to him at the centre before going home. Hiro does have Addisons disease and needs regular medication.
12. Zzee
Zzee is an American Bulldog Cross who can live with children over the age of 12 but will need to be the only pet whilst he works on his social skills with other dogs. He came via the local animal warden so Dogs Trust aren’t sure if he is house trained, but it is more than likely.
