Dogs Trust Merseyside are hoping to find forever homes for the adorable animals that have sadly been placed in their care - and numbers are up since the cost of living crisis hit.
Many owners are taking their pets to rescue centres, as they can no longer afford to care for them. Dogs Trust says every week, around 1,000 people are making the call to give up their dog.
From puppies to older dogs, the rehoming charity has all sorts of canine companions, hoping to bring a little extra joy to your life - including a Belgian Shepherd, a Pug and a Jack Russell.

Sugar is looking for a home together with her Mum, Lady. She is house trained but can have a little accident if she feels nervous. These girls need to be the only pets in the home, and will need to be separated for eating. Children of high school age should be fine.
14. Sebastian
Sebastian is a nervous chap and he's looking for a patient home with a family who have no other pets. He can live with teenagers and is house trained, but isn't used to being left by himself.
15. Teddy
Teddy is looking for a home with other pets or children under the age of 16. He is house trained and can be left alone for a few hours. His new family must be confident at administering medication through an inhaler as Teddy has asthma.
