Veganuary is here, with people all around the world switching to a vegan lifestyle for the first month of the year.
As someone who has been vegan for over a decade, I have powered through many subpar plant-based dishes but Liverpool is now filled with so many amazing vegan-friendly restaurants that Veganuary should truly be a breeze for newbies.
Take a look at the gallery below to see my top recommendations, which include fully vegetarian and vegan restaurants and venues that have options for everyone.

1. The Quarter, Falkner Street
The Quarter is tied with Casa Italia as my favourite Italian restaurant. The vegan options are clearly labelled and there are tons of suitable appetisers, perfect for sharing. It's amazing for gluten-free options too. | The Quarter

2. Spice Bloom, Duke Street
Spice Bloom is a fantastic curry house, with a whole host of fantastic vegan options and staff who go above and beyond to cater for all guests. | Spice Bloom

3. Wreck Bistro, Seel Street
Wreck is a casual, fine dining restaurant, which offers a range of unique dishes, as well as a superb vegan menu. Every time I go, the vegan options are never something I'd think of trying but they always end up being absolutely unreal. | Wreck Bistro

4. Rosa’s Thai. Albert Dock
Rosa’s Thai is a chain that I will never stop raving about due its amazing vegan options and clearly labelled menu. It's one of those places you can go to and feel really confident that you're not accidentally being given non-vegan ingredients, and the Pad Thai is absolutely to die for. Just ask for the tofu version without egg and you're good to go. | Emma Dukes
