Tony Naylor has named his 19 favourite Liverpool restaurants, ranging from fine dining venues to eateries perfect for cheap eats with the kids.
Liverpool is a haven of incredible restaurants, street food markets and cafes, with a range of options suitable for all ages, tastes and dietary requirements. But, it can be tricky to decide where to dine if you’re visiting the city for a short amount of time.
To make the task a little easier, BBC Good Food’s Tony Naylor dined across the city, and has named his favourite restaurants, ranging from fine dining venues to eateries perfect for cheap eats with the kids.

17. Lunya, Hanover Street
Lunya is a store and restaurant, in Liverpool city centre. Tony Naylor said it’s best for casual dining and special occasions, and is child-friendly. He said: “Obsessive about Spanish – and particularly Catalan – food, Peter Kinsella has created a deli/bar/restaurant where everything sings with flavour, from a butifarra sausage sandwich to the secreto Iberico, a densely piggy shoulder cut from those famous acorn-fed hogs.” Photo: Lunya

The Pen Factory is a bar and restaurant tucked away on Hope Street. The menu regularly changes, offering customers a chance to try lots of different dishes. Leaf is a large tea bar and eatery on Bold Street, with a unique design and cosy vibes. Tony Naylor said it’s best for cheap eats and casual dining.
