Dogs Trust Merseyside has so many amazing dogs up for adoption and all of them are hoping to find their forever families this autumn. Covering Liverpool, Knowsley, Sefton, Wirral and St Helens, the animal rescue centre has more than 60 dogs looking for new homes.
The charity is seeing more and more people giving up their pets as a result of the cost of living crisis. So, if you follow the ‘adopt not shop’ mantra and are hoping for a new canine companion, why not pop into Dogs Trust’s Merseyside branch and meet these lovely pups.
Take a look below at some of the rescue centre’s most recent additions, who are extremely adorable and guaranteed to brighten your day. Could you provide them with a second chance? You can find out more at: https://www.dogstrust.org.uk/.
1. Paisley
Paisley is a Shih Tzu Cross. He is a lively, cheeky little chap looking for an active home. He loves to be out, about and very much on the go. He is not one for stopping to take in the scenery, instead he prefers to be nose down sniffing and exploring every inch! | Dogs Trust Merseyside
2. Luna
Luna is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. The 11 year old is a beautiful, happy golden oldie with a smile that can melt hearts. She loves people and likes to say hello to as many as possible on her walks. If you sit down in Luna's home, expect her to come along and plonk her bottom in your lap. | Dogs Trust Merseyside
3. Cedar
Cedar is a Siberian Husky. He is a very friendly young man, only about a year old and still with a lot to learn about life. He was found chasing sheep, thankfully by someone other than the farmer, so will need to be kept away from any livestock! When on his lead he does walk well and happily strolls alongside the other dogs. | Dogs Trust Merseyside
4. Blue
Blue is a Border Collie. He is a sensitive boy and desperate for a patient family who can help him to be more confident. Blue will approach toys to sniff but does not appear to know what to do with them, so he would love his new family to help him to discover the joy of playtime and some basic training skills once he has settled in. | Dogs Trust Merseyside
