🚓 On Monday morning, the Prime Minister was in Merseyside to joined officers on morning raids as he launched his 10-year-strategy to tackle drugs for England and Wales.

The warrants were executed as was part of the ongoing Project Medusa, a Merseyside-led initiative set up to tackle County Lines drug dealing and child criminal exploitation, which has seen more than 1,300 people arrested and £1.4 million cash seized.

Those arrested include a 34-year-old woman from Anfield and a 27-year-old man from Norris Green.

🔚 Marcel Brands has left his post as director of football at Everton.

The football club released a statement saying: "The Owner and Directors would like to thank Marcel for the service he has given to the club over the past three and a half years and wish him well for his future."

Marcel Brands said: "The Board and I agreed that there is a clear difference in the vision and direction for this beautiful club and, with that in mind, the decision was taken."

📸 A pop-up exhibition has opened in Bootle Strand, marking the 80th anniversary of the Bootle Blitz.

Bootle was the most bombed town in the UK per capita during The May Blitz of 1941- the show aims to explore this history through the photography of Stewart Bale.

Contemporary photographer Jonathan Turton has reimagined some of Bale's works, retracing exact locations to create images of how the area looked then and now.
