Digital countdown appears in Liverpool city centre ahead of major launch
A strange digital countdown has appeared in Liverpool city centre.
The digital clock is located outside the former Lalligrass store on College Lane, which recently closed its doors. Alongside the countdown is the Classic Football Shirts logo.
Sharing an image of the countdown on social media, Classic Football Shirts - which sells rare vintage and original retro football jerseys - confirmed it would be launching a pop-up shop this week, stating: “Classic Football Shirts and adidas are bringing The Vault to Liverpool.”

The company also shared teasers including several shots of their shopping bags at recognisable Liverpool locations and a video showcasing ‘The Fernando Torres Aesthetic’.
‘The Vault’ pop-up store will open at 9.00am on Friday (August 1), with Liverpool Football Club fans able to bag vintage shirts from the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s and 2010s. The launch coincides with the release of Liverpool FC’s new adidas kits for the 2025/26 season.
Classic Football Shirts says visitors can expect a “unique retail and exhibition space” with “some of the most iconic and rare pieces from adidas’ rich footballing history.”
The store is expected to be open until Monday (August 4) and while many Reds supporters are excited about the launch, supporters of the Toffees aren’t as impressed.
Responding to a Classic Football Shirts post on social media, one person commented: “Two clubs in the city, lads.” Another added: “There’s two clubs in the city by the way.”
