Police CCTV appeal after boy, 15, robbed and assaulted in ‘cowardly’ attack in Liverpool city centre

Merseyside Police have issued CCTV images of a man they want to contact following a robbery in Liverpool city centre on Boxing Day.
Two teenage boys were approached by five males in Williamson Square. One boy, 15, was forced to hand over his coat, chased and assaulted.

Hide AdInspector Ben Dyer said: “This was a cowardly attack on a young boy who was left very distressed from the incident.”
What happened
At around 3.50pm on Sunday, 26 December, the offenders threatened a 15-year-old boy, demanding he hand over his coat.
The victim handed over the garment before being chased to St John’s Precinct where he was assaulted again.
No weapon was seen by the victim.

Inspector Ben Dyer said: "I am appealing to the person featured in this image, or anyone who recognises him to come forward. We believe he could hold information that could be vital to our continuing enquiries.
