Pumpkin picking patches in and around Liverpool for Halloween 2021

Church Farm, Wirral

This Wirral farm has lots to keep little ones busy in the run-up to Halloween with its Family Fright Festival.

There’s a scarecrow trail, a ‘beastly barrel’ train ride, sheep racing and there are tractors rides ​each day at 10:45am, 1:15pm and 3:45pm which feature a 10-minute ride with a drop-off at the pumpkin patch.

The farm grows over 3,000 pumpkins and access to the pumpkin patch is for customers with Family Fright Festival tickets only.

​Pumpkins are not included in the admission price but are priced at between £2 and £5 (while stocks last).

Picnics are welcome, although there are drinks and snacks available to take away from the farm’s kiosk too.

Pumpkin Patch, Hightown

A ‘maize maze’ will be available for pumpkin pickers to enjoy this year at the Pumpkin Patch, Hightown.

The popular venue has cut a maze into five acres of their maize crop for visitors. Corn will also be available to pick at 50p per cob.

There is a wide variety of orange pumpkins, white pumpkins, warty pumpkins, grey pumpkins, and various squashes to pick.

Refreshments are available, there’s a picnic area and dogs are welcome but must be kept on a short lead at all times.

Photo shoots are available for anyone who wants to keep a memory of the day. There are hand sanitising stations and pickers should wear wellies and avoid white trainers or sliders.

Claremont Farm, Wirral

The farm has its own shop and cafe serving locally sourced produce.

Pumpkins are available to pick every day between 10am and 4pm.

There’s no entry charge and each pumpkin is sold by weight.

The farm asks pickers to bring suitable bags or boxes to carry pumpkins to cars.

Dogs on leads are welcome around the edge of the field where there are also photo opportunities.

Depending on weather, access for wheelchairs and prams might only be possible around the outside of the field.

The farm is also showing films in the evenings from 22 to 29 October including Cruella, The Lost Boys and A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon.

Birchalls Pumpkin Patch, Rainford

No booking required just turn up and its free entry to the pumpkin patch. Free parking.

Pumpkins are 3 for £10 and the extra large pumpkins are £5 each. Payment is cash or card.

Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead at all times and wheelbarrows are available for use.

There’s farm machinery available to view and a Gruffalo Maze.
