Located in Whiston, the Merseyside rescue centre serves Liverpool, Knowsley, Sefton, Wirral and St Helens and has more than 60 dogs in its kennels, who would love the chance to find a new family and a place to call home.
A diverse selection of dog breeds are up for adoption, ranging from tiny Terriers and lovely Labradors to adorable Akitas.
The charity is seeing more and more people giving up their pets as a result of the cost of living crisis. So, if you are hoping for a new canine companion, why not pop into Dogs Trust’s Merseyside branch and find a new friend.
Below are 13 of the centre’s newest additions, who would love to find a permanent home this autumn. More information about the adoption process is available via the Dogs Trust Merseyside website.

5. Jessie - Labrador Retriever cross
Jessie is a Labrador Retriever cross puppy. She can live with children over the age of eight but cannot live with anyone who is pregnant or immunocompromised, due to her having tested positive for Leishmaniasis. Jessie must also be the only dog at home for this reason. She is house trained thanks to her foster family, but will require all her basic training, as well as some further medical tests every six months. Jessie is a digger. | Dogs Trust Merseyside

6. Billy - Patterdale Terrier
Billy is a Patterdale Terrier. He is a young terrier who would like to find a family that can keep up with him! He's very active when out and about and always vigilant, watching for other dogs and wildlife, but when inside he loves a fuss and cuddle. Billy will happily jump on our laps when we get down to his level, but he can be wriggly still. | Dogs Trust Merseyside

7. Luna - Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Luna is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. The 11 year old is a beautiful, happy golden oldie with a smile that can melt hearts. She loves people and likes to say hello to as many as possible on her walks. If you sit down in Luna's home, expect her to come along and plonk her bottom in your lap. | Dogs Trust Merseyside

8. Dexter - Lurcher
Dexter is a Lurcher. He can live with kids age 14 and over but needs to be the only pet. Dogs Trust have very limited history for him but know he's house trained and settles well at night. | Dogs Trust Merseyside
