‘The Savoy of the doggy world’ - inside Hightown hotel The Pawfect Retreat that offers luxury dog stays

In a corner of Merseyside sits a luxury dog hotel and daycare facility that’s so exclusive you might struggle to get your beloved canine on the waiting list.

And we have been for look inside and to meet Owner Angela Byrne, who said: “This is basically everything that I wanted my dogs to have - not what a dog needs - it's what I want them to have."

Luxury facilities

Angela added: “Each room has a bed anywhere from a double bed to a king-size bed. On the wall, we have a TV where we play Classic FM or Smooth FM so that they feel at home.

“Each room has air-conditioning, so we keep the dogs cool or warm. We also have CCTV in the rooms as well so we can keep an eye on them and when the owner checks the dog in, they also get a code so they can live stream the feed.”

What would a luxury retreat be without a pool for an establishment that calls itself The Savoy for dogs? They also offer canine hydrotherapy, which is a non-weight bearing water-based form of therapy.
