Merseyside weather update Thursday, 20 January, plus five-day forecast: Clear becoming cloudy

Towards the end of the week, it's a dry picture for the region, with plenty of winter sunshine expected. Temperatures are feeling pretty frosty, though, reaching highs of just 5°C.

As we move toward the weekend, that sunshine is disappearing behind some clouds. Patchy rain is expected over Liverpool and Birkenhead. Temperatures reaching highs of 8°C.

And looking at the five-day forecast now, it's a dry picture for the most part. A slight chance of rain and some cloudy sky's at times, but there's plenty of winter sunshine for our region too.

Temperatures vary with chilly lows of 5°C and highs of 10°C.
