The first Merseyside derby of the season takes place on Wednesday when Everton host Liverpool at Goodison Park in the Premier League (20.15).

The clash has even more spice to it than usual as Rafa Benitez takes charge of the Toffees against the club he guided to Champions League glory in 2005.

The Reds have won their past three games and put four goals past Arsenal and Southampton last time out.

But all form usually goes out of the window for this showdown and the Blues hold the bragging rights after a 2-0 win at Anfielf when the pair last met in February.
