Frank Lampard is hopeful Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be among three players who’ll be back for Everton’s trip to Tottenham Hotspur on Monday.

The striker has missed the Toffees’ past two games with an adductor injury.

But Calvert-Lewin, who has made only eight appearances all season, is due to return to full training tomorrow.

Lampard’s optimistic the England international will be able to feature against Spurs.

The Everton boss said: “I’m hopeful. He’s going to train with us tomorrow and I spoke to him about five minutes ago.

“He was very pleased with his session this morning so hopefully he integrates with the squad tomorrow.”

Meanwhile, Demarai Gray and Andre Gomes were absent for Thursday night’s 2-0 FA Cup defeat of Boreham Wood.

The former had a fever when he was set to play, having just recovered from a hip issue.

Gomes had a thigh problem but is back in training.

Lampard said: “Demarai Gray had a bit of a fever going into the game against Boreham Wood when he was due to play.

“We’ve missed him and missed Demarai pretty much since I’ve been in.

“Demarai is a huge talent. He was flying but missed games because of injury and now not being so well.

“Andre Gomes has trained today so will be available for the squad.”

God progress

Ben Godrey is also due to return to training next week from a hamstring injury that’s kept him out of five games.

He, therefore, may be available for the visit of Wolves on 13 March.

“Ben won’t make Monday but should be ready to train with us from the middle of next week, which is great,” added Lampard.

“We lost two big centre-backs from pretty much the moment I came in.

“Ben I lost after 20 minutes. He’s a fantastic defender for us and has been since he’s been at the club.”
