The Toffees are hoping to get a deal done before the January transfer window closes this evening, as per The Telegraph.

Crellin, 21, will link-up with the under-23s set-up at Goodison Park.

The Blackpool-born stopper has come through the ranks at Fleetwood and has made 14 appearances in total.

Five of those outings arrived in League One in the 2019-20 season under then-manager Joey Barton, while he also had a loan spell at non-league Chorley.

In addition, Crellin made his England under-20s debut in a 3-0 loss to Czech Republic in October 2019.

Crellin was loaned to Bolton Wanderers the following campaign.

However, he endured a difficult period at Ian Evatt’s side and soon found himself dropped out of the starting XI.

Veteran Matt Gilks took over in between the posts and Crellin had his time at the Trotters cut short.

All four of Crellin’s appearances this season have been in the Papa John’s Trophy.
