According to Bloomberg, the American firm - headed by Dan Friedkin - are at an ‘advanced stage of negotiations with Toffees majority owner Farhad Moshiri’s 94.1 per cent

Friedkin pulled the plug on purchasing Everton in July after being handed a period of exclusivity. That was reportedly due to a £200 million loan provided by former prospective owners 777 Partners.

Friedkin did take on the £158 million of debt from MSP Sports Capital and local businessmen George Downing and Andy Bell, as well as providing the club with working capital.

John Textor, who owns 45 per cent of Crystal Palace, has declared that he is keen to buy Everton and told Sky Sports he was hopeful of completing a deal by 30 November. But Bloomberg suggests that Friedkin has come back to the table and is currently thrashing out a deal with Moshiri.

The Friedkin Group have owned Italian club AS Roma since August 2020. Everton and the Friedkin Group declined to comment when approached by Bloomberg.
