Everton’s new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock is set to be ready for the 2024/25 season and will help drive Everton forward into the future.
The £500m+ arena has been in development since 2021 and it is intended that the new stadium will become the heart of a new mixed-use development in an area containing shops, housing and other venues.
It will mean that Everton will leave Goodison Park, a stadium they’ve played at since 1892.
The move will see a huge increase in capacity, as the Tofees shift from their current 39, 414 seater stadium to 52,888 seats at the new ground.
We’ve decided to see how Bramley-Moore will compare to the biggest and best stadiums in England in terms of capacity, as well as their Merseyside rivals in Liverpool.

5. Manchester City - Etihad Stadium - capacity: 55,097
Often accused of being a stadium that is never sold out, City hold one of the highest average attendances in the league. Having the likes of Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne in the side helps pull in the crowds.
6. Liverpool FC - Anfield - (Current Capacity - 54,074) After expansion - 61,000
Currently having work done to the Anfield Road end, it will add on a further 7,000 seats. An already iconic stadium, the atmosphere will only improve as the new expansion will be ready for the start of the 2023/24 season.
7. Everton - Bramley-Moore Dock - 52,888
Everton’s new and improved modern stadium will be ready for sometime during the 2024/25 season. Work has been underway since 2021 and the stadium is set to become a new and modern arena that will help drive Everton forward into the future.
