The potential deals Everton and Frank Lampard could complete on January transfer deadline day
Frank Lampard is set to become next Everton manager and it could be a busy first day in the job.
It appears set to be a hectic day at Everton.
Supporters are hoping that Frank Lampard will finally be announced as new manager at Goodison Park.
The former Chelsea boss is poised to take over the reins after Rafa Benitez was sacked two weeks ago amid a run of just one win in 14 Premier League matches.
Lampard will certainly have a job on his hands to turn around the Toffees’ fortunes.
Everton languish 16th in the table and some fans have genuine concerns they’ll be dragged into a relegation battle.
Not only is it the day Lampard is expected to take charge - but it’s also the final day of the January transfer window.
All deals must be completed by 11pm this evening and Everton will have hopes of bolstering their squad.
Midfield could be the priority with Abdoulaye Doucoure, Fabian Delph and Tom Davies all injured.
And it’ll be intriguing if there is anyone to leave Everton - either if they’re surplus to requirements or for regular minutes elsewhere.
Here are some of the potential deals the Blues could complete.

1. In - Donny van de Beek

2. In - Idrissa Gueye
A name that is getting plenty of Evertonians exciting having been linked by The Mirror. Gueye enjoyed three fine years at Everton before joining PSG in 2019. The midfielder would be welcomed by all. Photo: FRANCK FIFE/AFP via Getty Images

3. In - Ruben Loftus-Cheek

4. In - Dele Alli
The midfielder’s career has plummeted having been one of the most exciting players in the country for Tottenham a few years ago. However, Alle would add plenty to Everton if he could recapture his very best. Loan rules again count against him should the van de Beek move go through as expected. Photo: Dan Mullan/Getty Images
