Everton have confirmed the departure of Rafael Benitez this afternoon.

The Spaniard’s sacking comes after the Toffees’ disappointing defeat to Norwich City yesterday, where they were beaten 2-1 at Carrow Road.

The scoreline handed the Canaries their first league victory since November and meant Everton had won only once in 13 league matches.

Everton fans haven’t been afraid to voice their opinions on their manager, with a group of supporters displayed a banner reading ‘BENITEZ GET OUT OF OUR CLUB’ in the away end yesterday.
