Liverpool have begun pre-season and while many of their big-hitters are on holiday after international commitments, Arne Slot has had a good look at most of his squad.
There’s a chance for players to impress after Jurgen Klopp’s exit but any transfers won’t be greenlit until the Dutchman has seen his squad in action for a period of time. Question marks lie next to a few players for multiple reasons; there are contracts expiring within a year, there are players who will want regular first-team football and then there’s those who struggled for game time under Klopp.
With that in mind, and no deals on the horizon yet, we’ve decided to see which players are set to stay and which players are being linked with a move away - as we aim to predict Liverpool’s summer business.

5. Luis Diaz - Stay
While Anthony Gordon and Nico Williams have both been linked with moves, there is no chance of them arriving while Diaz is still at the club. Likewise, no club is stepping forward to pay over £50m for the Colombian winger which means he will stay. | AFP via Getty Images

6. Trent Alexander-Arnold - Stay
Real Madrid are said to have a concrete interest in the defender. Claims have been made from SportBILD that the player has been speaking to the club for over a month. He has one year left on his deal and recent reports have claimed Liverpool are relaxed about the situation. The only issue is whether his head is turned by Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe. 7. Alisson Becker - Stay
Despite huge money offers from Saudi Arabia, Alisson is committed to the club and playing at the top level. | Getty Images

8. Nathaniel Phillips - Leave
Liverpool want £8-10m for the defender and Trabzonspor have already had a bid rejected of £4m. He deserves first-team football elsewhere and any sale would be all profit which is another bonus. Photo: Andrew Powell
