It’s expected to be a quiet day at Anfield but there could be outgoings and surprise incomings.

It’s transfer deadline day - but that won’t set alarm bells ringing at Anfield.

Liverpool are expected to have a fairly quiet day, with manager Jurgen Klopp admitting he doesn’t see too much happening.

So far, Ibrahima Konate’s £36 million arrival from RB Leipzig has been the Reds’ sole signing.

The likes off Xherdan Shaqiri (Lyon), Harry Wilson (Fulham) and Marko Grujic (Porto) have all left.

No doubt Liverpool will be in place to react if any potential player becomes available or an offer is made for someone to depart.

We take a look at the deals that could happen.

Incoming - Mikkel Damsgaard

The Denmark international has been linked with a move to Liverpool in the past week.

There are some concerns that the Reds might be a forward light and added strength is needed - especially after Roberto Firmino limped off with a hamstring injury in the 1-1 draw against Chelsea last weekend.

A potential £34 million move is unlikely for Damsgaard.

But with Aston Villa and Leeds United also potential suitors, Klopp could pull the trigger to ensure he gets his man rather than parking it for the future and risk missing out.

Outgoing - Divock Origi

The striker is a cult hero at Anfield for the goals he's scored against Barcelona, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League final.

But, ultimately, Origi is surplus to requirements at Anfield and has been omitted from the past two match-day squads.

West Ham United, Wolves and Crystal Palace are all supposed admirers and a sale could allow the Reds to reinvest the cash either in this window or in January.

Incoming - Saul Niguez

The Atletico Madrid midfielder is available for loan and wants a new challenge.

If Liverpool thought Saul was excellent value for money then he could be the replacement for Gini Wijnaldum they haven't filled.

However, the Reds do have ample options in the middle of midfield already.

Outgoing - Nat Phillips

The centre-back performed admirably when called upon during last season's injury crisis.

But with Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez all back to full fitness, along with the arrival of Konate, Phillips finds himself out of favour.

The 24-year-old has been left out of the opening three match-day squads and may look for regular football elsewhere.

The Reds have reportedly slapped a £15 million price tag on Phillips, with Burnley, Newcastle and Southampton linked earlier in the summer.

Outgoing - Sheyi Ojo

The 24-year-old has spent the past four years out on loan and has not played for Liverpool since January 2017.

He's not close to Klopp's first-team plans and has been with the under-23s since the start of pre-season.

Ojo scored five goals in 42 appearances at Cardiff last campaign and they'd be open to a loan move once again.

Liverpool would rather the winger depart permanently, however, and wanted £5 million. European sides Olympiacos and Club Brugge have both expressed interest.
