How Liverpool's shock £1.1 BILLION side could look in three years' time - according to Football Manager
The infamously addictive game returned on November 8th with it’s 2022 edition, taking an even deeper dive into the world of football management, adding a shiny new data hub and an improved match engine to its already extensive take on life in the dugout.
For a bit of fun, we've fired up the newly released productivity-devastator, and sent the game three years into the future to see how Liverpool line up on the first day of the 2024/25 season.
Take a look at how the game predicts the Reds’ matchday squad will look as they prepare for a season opener against Crystal Palace:

2. RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold
It's hard to imagine Trent ever leaving Liverpool, and the full-back is still strutting his stuff down the right flank in 2024. Not only that, but he now sports the captain's armband. (Photo by Alex Pantling/Getty Images) Photo: Alex Pantling

3. DCR: Maxence Lacroix
The Wolfsburg defender is one of the many, many bright young things of French football at the moment, and he clearly caught the eye of the Reds too. A smart addition at the heart of defence. (Photo by Martin Rose/Getty Images) Photo: Martin Rose

4. DCL: Virgil van Dijk
Don't worry Reds, he's still at Anfield. Probably a certifiable club legend in 2024, van Dijk is still marshalling that backline at the age of 33. (Photo by Shaun Botterill/Getty Images) Photo: Shaun Botterill
