The Reds began the party on the pitch and continued into the dressing room.

Liverpool beat Chelsea 11-10 in a dramatic penalty shootout at Wembley on Sunday to to win the Carabao Cup and deliver the first domestic trophy for manager Jurgen Klopp.

The closely fought match ended 0-0 after 120 minutes and eventually came down to a tale of three goalkeepers.

Chelsea’s Edouard Mendy, who had made a string of excellent saves, was replaced by Kepa Arrizabalaga, specifically for the shootout, while Liverpool stuck with their cup-run keeper Caoimhin Kelleher.

Arrizabalaga failed to save a single penalty and then blazed the decisive spot kick over the crossbar after former youth striker Kelleher had calmly slotted home Liverpool’s 11th and winning strike.
