Inter Milan set for huge injury boost against Liverpool as player Jurgen Klopp ‘really likes’ to return

Inter Milan are reportedly poised for a huge injury boost ahead of their Champions League clash with Liverpool.

The Reds are firmly in the driving seat ahead of tomorrow's last-16 second-leg clash at Anfield (20.00).

Indeed, Liverpool have one foot in the door of the quarter-finals in their bid for an unprecedented quadruple.

The Nerazzurri have an uphill task on Merseyside if they're to pull off an unlikely comeback.

The Italian giants will need all of their key men available and on their mettle.

Ivan Perisic caused the Reds plenty of problems when the two sides met in the first leg.

The Croatia international, 33, was a doubt for the trip to Anfield after missing Inter's 5-0 thrashing of Salernitana on Friday night.

But Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Perisic will be available to face Klopp's troops.

Ahead of the last meeting between Liverpool and Inter, Klopp heaped praise on Perisic, having worked won the double together at Borussia Dortmund.

The Reds chief said: “I am really looking forward to seeing Ivan Perisic. I really like him. We won the double together.”

This season, Perisic has registered five goals and three assists for Inter.

Midfielder Nicolo Barella is suspended for the encounter.
