Elliott suffered a horrific ankle setback at Leeds in September but has bounced back.

After two substitute appearances, he is now deemed fit enough to start for the Reds in Italy.

It’s the midfielder’s Champions League debut and he’s one of fourchanges from Sunday’s 1-0 win at Burnley.

Elliott replaces Jordan Henderson in the engine room, along with Thiago Alcantara in for Kaby Keita.

Meanwhile, Ibrahima Konate comes in for Joel Matip in defence.

Diogo Jota is back in the line-up after only making the bench at Turf Moor. Roberto Firmino drops among the substitutes.

But yet again there is no place for Curtis Jones in Liverpool’s squad despite 12 subs being allowed in the Champions League.

Klopp has a fully-fit squad at his disposal and Jones is the unlucky player to miss out - having also been surplus to requirements for at Burnley.
