Jurgen Klopp is hopeful that Jordan Henderson’s issue he suffered in Liverpool’s victory over Ajax isn’t too serious.

The Reds skipper was withdrawn in the second half of the 3-0 Champions League win after getting a whack to the knee.

After moving into the last 16 of Europe’s elite competition, Liverpool now prepare to face Leeds United at Anfield on Saturday.

Klopp confirmed that Henderson has suffered bruising but seems to be OK.

Speaking at his post-match press conference, Liverpool manager Klopp said: “I I think so, I was worried as well when I saw the siutation because it was in front of me.

“I think he got knee on knee so painful, a bruise probably, really painful. But as far as I know now nothing else so should be fine.”

Darwin Nunez, Mo Salah and Harvey Elliott were on target for Liverpool against Ajax at the Johan Cruyff Arena.
