Moreira was born in Brasília and moved to Palmeiras in 2016, when he was 11-years-old.

Since his first game for the Brazilian club’s youth teams, he has scored 168 goals in 171 matches for Palmeiras.

Because of his impressive work in the youth squad, last year Moreira had the chance to start training with the senior team. But, he has not played a professional match as yet.

His outstanding performances at this year’s Copa São Paulo have been recognized throughout the football world and Moreira became the biggest star of Brazil’s most prestigious youth tournament.

The striker scored four goals in the last two matches and helped his team to secure a spot in the next round of the championship.

The Brazilian not only has a great ability with the ball in his feet, but his power and agility are impressive for a 15-year-old boy and he has already been called as the “New Vinicius Júnior”.

What’s been said?

According to Brazilian media outlet UOL, three teams from the Premier League have already called Palmeiras to prepare their first official bid for the youngster: Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City.

Due to the fact Moreira is just 15-year-old, he can not sign a professional contract until July 21, when he turns 16.

When would he arrive in Liverpool?

According to FIFA regulations, Moreira would have to wait until he turns 18-years-old to leave Brazil and start his European journey.

This could be different if the striker had an European citizenship, but he does not have it.

So, if the Reds win the battle and sign the Brazilian, Moreira would only arrive at Anfield the 2024/2025 season.
