One name rumoured to be keen on a move to Anfield is Lille midfielder Renato Sanches.

The Portuguese international has also been rumoured to be interesting Barcelona - but reports in Spain claim that Liverpool are now in pole position to sign the 24-year-old.

El Nacional say that Jurgen Klopp’s side are now ‘big favourites’ to land the signature of Sanches, who is thought to be valued at around £25million.

And the Reds may yet deal another blow to Barcelona after they were linked with a move for defender Ronald Araujo.

The 22-year-old has emerged as a key player for the Catalan side under Xavi Hernandez, but is now in the final 18 months of his contract.

Reports in Spain, via SPORT, claim that Barca are struggling to convince the Uruguayan to pen a new deal - which could represent a boost for a number of interested Premier League clubs.

As well as Liverpool, Manchester United and and Chelsea have been credited with an interest in Araujo.

It has been suggested that a fee of around £60million could be required to prise him away from the Camp Nou.
