Liverpool edging Tottenham in transfer battle for Porto star, Paulo Dybala ‘keen’ to join Reds

Liverpool sporting director Michael Edwards must have been working his fingers to the bone today if all the transfer rumours surrounding the club are to be believed.

The Reds are very busy preparing a bid for Porto’s Colombian winger Luis Diaz, according to reports in his homeland. ‘Lucho’ has already rejected a move to Tottenham Hotspur as he remains unconvinced by their project.

The 25-year-old could soon be fighting for a place in Jurgen Klopp’s squad with Juventus’ want-away forward Paulo Dybala, whose contract expires at the end of the season.

According to reports on Football Italia, Dybala is ‘keen’ on joining Liverpool as he’s not yet been offered a satisfactory new deal in Turin.

However, Liverpool do look set to miss out on 20-year-old speedster Karim Adeyemi. German newspaper Bild report the Anfield-linked striker is very close to leaving RB Salzburg for Borussia Dortmund.
