Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain may have missed out on an England call up this week but he certainly made good use of the international break as he jetted off to Dubai to rub shoulders with some of the world’s best golfers.
The 28-year-old swapped his football boots for a set of golf clubs to take part in the in Aviv Dubai Championship Pro-Am at Jumeirah Golf Estates in the United Arab Emirates.

The Pro-Am tournament, as the name suggests, pairs lucky amateurs with professional golfers.
Golf lover Oxlade-Chamberlain teamed up with American Johannes Veerman, who secured his first win on the European Tour circuit this year at the Czech Masters.

The Pro-Am runs the day prior to this week’s main event at Jumeirah Golf Estates: the Aviv Dubai Championship.
The pro competition runs from Thursday until Sunday and provides the last opportunity for players to qualify for the World Tour Championship.
