Liverpool are reportedly planning to hold new talks with Fulham this month over a deal for winger Fabio Carvalho as they look to strike an agreement ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to Football Insider, Jurgen Klopp’s men are eager to wrap up a deal for the 19-year-old having seen a late January bid collapse at the eleventh hour.

But rather than resting on their laurels, it is understood that the Reds will look to rekindle negotiations for the England youth international immediately, with agreeing a transfer that would then be rubber-stamped at the end of the season.
How likely are Liverpool to seal the deal?
On the face of it, Liverpool look to be in a strong position to land Carvalho.

If it weren’t for a deadline day delay in paperwork, they may have wrapped up his arrival already, but even taking that setback into account, the situation looks promising.
Sky Sports reported earlier in the week that the Reds are “confident” of signing the player, while this latest update from Football Insider would suggest that they are being positive and proactive in their pursuit.
If there is one potential obstacle, however, it’s the emerging interest of Italian giants AC Milan.

As per CalcioMercato, Milan are keen to “hijack” Liverpool’s move for the wide man, and have already made contact with his representatives over a possible deal.
That being said, it’s worth emphasising that at the current moment, there’s nothing to suggest that the Serie A side hold any advantage over the Reds in the race for Carvalho’s services.
How has Carvalho reacted to Liverpool’s interest?

Despite the disappointment of a late move failing to materialise, it would appear that Carvalho has taken the situation in his stride and continues to apply himself well for Fulham.
Speaking earlier in the week, Cottagers boss Marco Silva said: “On the final day, the timings and the important details are always complicated for everyone, and that is what happened in that moment.
“Fabio is really happy. The day after that situation I saw him with the same smile on his face like always, and he enjoyed the training session, worked hard and that is the main thing for me.
“15 days ago I said Fabio will be with us until the end of the season and I was sure that would happen because it was our decision and it was something I could control and the club could control as well and that is the reality now.

“I am 100 per cent sure Fabio will give his best for the club as he has done so far.”
