Liverpool have endured a difficult season to date and find themselves down in 9th position. Nevertheless, they picked up a useful win over rivals Everton last night at Anfield.
The Reds nearly fell behind when Toffees defender James Tarkowski saw a header hit the post before Jurgen Klopp’s men broke away on the counter-attack and scored through Mo Salah. They went into half-time 1-0 up and doubled their lead after the interval through January signing Cody Gakpo to land the three points.
