Liverpool aim to complete their latest European miracle when they face Atalanta tonight (20.00 BST).
The Reds trail the Europa League quarter-final 3-0 on aggregate after a shock defeat at Anfield last week. Scarcely anyone predicted Jurgen Klopp suffering such a sobering loss on their own patch - leaving them with a monumental mountain to climb.
But if there is a club capable of producing comebacks then it’s Liverpool. It was five years when the Reds reversed a three-goal deficit against Barcelona to reach the Champions League final - and would go on to win the trophy.
And in Klopp’s first season at Anfield, Liverpool also produced a fightback to beat Borussia Dortmund at the same stage of the Europa League. However, this time the Reds have to turn the tables away from L4. They’ll have to get beyond Atalanta on their patch, which makes things even more difficult.
Klopp’s men head into the Bergamo showdown on the back of successive losses, having been defeated 1-0 by Crystal Palace in the Premier League. Improvements are required and the Liverpool boss will have plenty to ponder when it comes to his starting line-up. Supporters will want to see the Reds go for the jugular but the threat of Atalanta also has to be nullified.
Ahead of the encounter, here’s the Liverpool team predicted.

8. CM - Curtis Jones
Klopp may want someone who can be a calm head on the ball and put Everton under pressure off it. Ryan Gravenberch will be unlucky to lose his spot after scoring at Fulham but Jones has been favoured for much of the campaign when fit. | Liverpool FC via Getty Images
