Romelu Lukaku has admitted he’s “not happy with the situation” at Chelsea ahead of their clash with Liverpool on Sunday.

The striker completed a £97.5 million move to Stamford Bridge from Inter Milan in the summer.

So far, Lukaku has scored seven goals in 18 appearances for the Londoners.

Five of his efforts have been in the Premier League, which places him joint-11th in the race for the Golden Boot.

Lukaku has netted twice in his past two outings, though, and will be aiming to again net when the Reds visit this weekend.

But the Belgium international has admitted he’s disappointed with the formation Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has opted to play.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, he said: “Physically I’m fine, even better than before.

“After two years in Italy, in which I worked a lot at Inter with trainers and nutritionists, I am physically fine. But I’m not happy with the situation, this is normal.

“I think the coach has chosen to play with another system, I just have to not give up and continue to work and be a professional.

“I am not happy with the situation, but I am a worker and I must not give up.”

Chelsea sit second in the Premier League on 42 points, with Liverpool one point and one place behind - but have a game in hand.
