Six former Liverpool players who still remain free agents - including the youngest player in club history
and live on Freeview channel 276
There have been plenty of Liverpool players who have come and gone over the years.
Some etch themselves into club folklore like Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and Luis Suarez, while others fail to hit the heights expected.

Hide AdMany who depart the Reds still go on and have fine careers, though, and at all different levels. Just look at Conor Coady at Wolves, for example.
However, there are some former players who are still without a club despite being three months into the season.
We take a look at who they are and how they’ve fared since exiting Anfield.
Andy Carroll
In terms of January panic buys, Carroll is the perfect example.

Hide AdAfter the sale of Fernando Torres to Chelsea, Liverpool replaced him with £35 million striker from Newcastle United.
However, Carroll never came close to justifying that price tag. In his two-and-a-half years at Anfield, he managed just 11 goals in 58 games.
After a loan spell with West Ham, he joined the Londoners for £15 million in the summer of 2013.
He struggled for injuries in the capital, though, and spent the past two years back at Newcastle where he managed just one goal in 37 games before his release in June.

Jordon Ibe
There were high hopes for the winger at Liverpool. So much so that when Raheem Sterling was sold to Manchester City, many thought Ibe was more than capable of filling the void.
However, he was unable to do so. In total, he bagged four goals in 58 games for the Reds and was sold to AFC Bournemouth for £15 million in the summer of 2016 after loan spells at Birmingham and Derby County.
Ibe was released by the Cherries following their relegation from the Premier League and rejoined Derby in the summer of 2020.

Ibe's recently revealed he struggles with depression but is determined to get his career back on track. He's still only 25 and yet to come into his peak years.
Andre Wisdom
It looked like the versatile defender was set for a bright future on Merseyside.
In his breakthrough campaign in 2012-13, Wisdom played 19 times in all competitions and 12 of those were in the Premier League.
However, he would make just two more outings for Liverpool.

Hide AdWisdom was sent on loan to Derby, West Brom, Norwich and Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg.
He then left permanently for Derby in 2017 but with the club struggling financially, Wisdom was not given a new deal in the summer.
Aged 28, he still has plenty of years left in his career.
Nabil El Zhar
The winger was somewhat of a cult figure at Liverpool. Arriving from Saint-Etienne in 2006, he was signed with an eye on the future.
Yet El Zhar was unable to kick his career on. He played a total of only 32 matches in five seasons, netting once goal, and left in 2011 after a loan spell at Greek club PAOK.

El Zhar then scored 15 goals in 41 matches during two years at Qatari side Al Ahli before leaving earlier this year.
Aged 35, he might well opt to hang up his boots.
Jerome Sinclair
The forward was compared to Sterling when he arrived in the academy from West Brom - but never lived up to such tag.
Sinclair became Liverpool's youngest ever play when making his debut aged 16 years and six days in a 2-1 League Cup win at West Brom in September

Things didn't go much better for him at Vicarage Road, though. He was shipped out on loan to Birmingham, Sunderland, Oxford, Dutch outfit VVV-Venlo and Bulgarian side CSKA Sofia. Sinclair was released by the Hornets last summer.
Jack Hobbs
The defender signed for Liverpool on his 17th birthday in August 2005 after Arsenal, Tottenham and Bolton all showed interest.
Hobbs helped the under-18s win the FA Youth Cup in his first season.

Hide AdDespite the Reds having high hopes for Hobbs, he managed just five appearances for the first team.
He had loan spells with Scunthorpe and Leicester before joining the latter permanently in 2008.
Hobbs subsequently represented Hull, Nottingham Forest and most recently Bolton.
However, he has been a free agent since his release from the Trotters at the end of the 2019-20 season when they were relegated to League Two.
