9. Paul Konchesky
Now Konchesky was a steady Premier League player who, incidentally, scored a long distance strike against the Reds in the FA Cup final of 2005, but he was simply not at the level required for the club. The left-back departed after 15 appearances and one sole season and is currently head coach of West Ham women.
10. El Hadji Diouf
One of their biggest troublemakers across recent history, the forward was signed with huge expectations after starring for Senegal at the 2002 World Cup, but his time at Liverpool was tumultuous to say the least. Jamie Carragher once said: “He was always the last one to get picked in training.” And he sent packing to Bolton after three years at the club.
11. Lazar Markovic
Signed from Benfica, big things were expected from the young, aspiring winger but he spent the majority of his five years at the club (2014-2019) on loan and he made just 19 appearances for the club.
