Liverpool can claim the first trophy of the season this Sunday when they take on Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final (16:30).
The Reds are still fighting on all four fronts and have closed the gap to Premier League leaders Manchester City with a resounding 6-0 win at home to Leeds.
It’s been six years since Liverpool have been in the League Cup final and 10 since they won it, and now they take on Chelsea for a first final meeting since 2005.
Chelsea won the 2005 affair after extra-time goals from Didier Drogba and Mateja Kezman made it 3-2, but what are the Liverpool players who played in that final - from Jamie Carragher to Djimi Traore - up to now?

9. John Arne Riise
Made 348 appearances for the Reds before a move Roma. Travelled around to the likes Fulham, APOEL, Delhi Dynamos and SK Rollon. Had a brief spell as sporting director of Maltese club Birkirkara and now manager of Norwegian Toppserien club Avaldsnes. | Getty Images

10. Harry Kewell
Turned out for the Reds 139 times before a move to Galatasaray in 2008 and then returned to Australia to play for Melbourne Victory and Melbourne Heart. Moved into management in 2015 and had relatively unsuccessful spells Crawley Town, Notts County, Oldham and Barnet, where he was sacked in September. | Getty Images

11. Fernando Morientes
Scored 12 goals in 61 games for Liverpool before moves to Valencia, Marseille and Santa Ana in the Madrid Regional Championships. Coached youth sides of Huracan and Real Madrid before his first and only coaching role at CF Fuenlabrada but was sacked not long after. | Getty Images

12. Antonio Nunez (sub)
His only goal came on the 2005 League Cup final, meaning Nunez is the only Liverpool player to score their only goal in a major cup final - a weird record to hold. Spent the rest of his career in the Spanish Segunda division before retiring in 2018. | Getty Images
