Transfer deadline day live blog: Liverpool and Everton latest updates

Toffees come unstuck on two deals

Everton’s move for Porto’s Luis Diaz has hit the skids according to reports as there is “no agreement and no way to find a solution in the next couple of hours”.

And Manchester United manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer has blocked a bid for Dutch midfielder Donny van der Beek, according to reports coming out of Holland.

Meanwhile, it seems all quiet on the Liverpool front.

Millwall are trying take Liverpool forward on a season-long loan at the New Den.

The 24-year-old has spent the past four years out on loan - at Fulham, Reims, Rangers and Cardiff - and has not played for the Reds since January 2017.

They think it’s all over.....

Well it’s not all over just yet.

The summer transfer window has shut - as of 23.00 BST - but there is still time for information about completed deals to filter out into the media.

Then there is the special ‘deal sheet’ which could see club’s extend the deadline on specific transfers that are already under negotiation until 01.00.

Everton have got it done. Salomon Rondon has signed on a free transfer from Chinese Super League side Dalian Professional.

The Venezuelan striker will be reunited with manager Rafa Benitez, who signed him at Newcastle and took him to China.
