Release ‘The Beast’ this panto season with Gavin & Stacey star at the Floral Pavilion

Christmas is coming, which can mean only one thing; it’s pantomime season!

So unleash the Beast with The Floral Pavilion’s festive panto, Beauty and the Beast, which delivers a stellar cast, including Milkshake’s Olivia Birchenough as Belle, Gavin & Stacey’s Melanie Walters as Fairy Bon Bon and top dame Quinn Patrick as Polly La Plonk.

Join the cast as they’re transported to a cursed castle under the spell of an evil enchantress.

With comedy, stunning sets and costumes, as well as an award-winning script (Best Script – Great British Pantomime Awards 2019), the cast are glad to be back on stage this year, after government restrictions last year meant most pantos were unable to go ahead as planned.

Other cast members include;West End’s Shaun Dalton as The Beast and comic Sean Jones as Louis La Plonk.

Melanie Walters, who is probably best known for playing Gwen in Gavin & Stacey, said: “It’s very nice to be back and I’m sure that the audiences are going to enjoy being back getting that theatrical experience, especially Beauty and the Beast because it’s such an amazing story.

“It’s just part of that Christmas experience, isn’t it? So everybody, if you get a chance go and see a Panto. I don’t think anyone ever regrets seeing a Panto - you will have a good time.”

Beauty and The Beast is at The Floral Pavillion in New Brighton from Saturday, 4 December, until Sunday, 2 January. In addition, there is a BSL signed performance on Sunday, 5 December, and an autism-friendly version on Thursday, 30 December.
