New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Liverpool’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Chows Fish And Chips, at 75 City Road, Liverpool was handed a one-out-of-five rating after assessment on July 11.

And Turkish Street Food, at Unit 7 Renshaw Street Food Market 95 Renshaw Street, Liverpool was also given a score of one on July 11.

It means that of Liverpool's 619 takeaways with ratings, 296 (48%) have ratings of five and just seven have zero ratings.
