Good news as food hygiene ratings handed to 11 Liverpool establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 11 of Liverpool’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to eight restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Windsor House at 40 Upper Parliament Street, Liverpool; rated on September 7

• Rated 5: Artefact Cafe at 71 Roscoe Street, Liverpool; rated on September 1

• Rated 5: Cote Bistro at 51 Paradise Street, Liverpool; rated on September 1

• Rated 5: Di Strada at 3 Sefton Street, Liverpool; rated on September 1

• Rated 5: R social at 70 Stanhope Street, Liverpool; rated on September 1

• Rated 5: The Baltimore at 1 Baltimore Street, Liverpool; rated on September 1

• Rated 5: Arts Bar Baltic at Ground Floor 27 Parliament Street, Liverpool; rated on August 31

• Rated 5: MeatMe at 20 Lark Lane, Liverpool; rated on July 18
